Marwan is a 20-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents and three siblings. He has owned a cattle farm in his town since 2008. He has good number of cows on his farm. He takes good care of the animals in order to get a good quantity of milk. His fresh products are all sold to local markets. He helps his father in collaboration with his brothers to provide better living conditions for the family.
Today, Marwan is requesting a loan of $1000 from Kiva's partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase fodder for the cattle to increase his milk productivity. In the future, he is hoping to further expand his business.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
