Khalil will pay his children's schooling education fees with his requested loan of $1200 from Kiva's partner, Ameen s.a.l. The school management has warned him to pay the required amount before the beginning of the school year; otherwise, his children will be prohibited from pursuing their education. Khalil’s only target is to ensure a good education for his children until they enter university.
Khalil is a 31-year-old married man living with his wife and two school-aged children. He is from Lebanon. He has been working in a car wheel shop since 1996. He works hard to satisfy his family's needs.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
