Enes is married with 7 children all going to school, save for the last one. She has been in farming for the last 18 years doing mixed farming and selling maize, vegetables, tomatoes and milk to the local market.
Enes has made a loan request of 100,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to purchase a water pump and poultry birds. She says the loan will improve her children's well-being as well as improve her second hand retail business. She is focusing on owning five dairy cows. This is Enes second loan request with Juhudi.
She, too, laments on the poor prices for her products as a challenge in farming.
To facilitate a partnership between Kiva and Juhudi Kilimo, K-Rep Group (Juhudi Kilimo’s 100% owner) has guaranteed Kiva funds in the event of institutional default. Lenders should be aware that the risk of borrower default remains borne by the lender.
