Khatuna lives in the village of Mukhrani in the eastern part of the country of Georgia. She is 44 years old, married, and has two children.
Several years ago, Khatuna was employed as an accountant, but she lost her job due to Georgia's difficult economy.
To earn a living, she started to trade textiles for clothing and home needs. She buys textiles in bulk at wholesale markets and then sells them in nearby villages. Khatuna travels to the wholesale markets on average once a month and stores the materials she buys in her home. Her most popular item in area villages are blankets.
