Lourdes is 59 years old and lives in Calamba, Misamis Occidental, Philippines. She is married and the mother of three grown-up children. Lourdes runs a small market from home to earn a living. She also has a second business in backyard pig raising. The main source of her income comes from selling assorted food items in her community. She has been selling for five years. She earn a monthly total of 3,000 Philippine pesos (PHP) from these activities.
Lourdes has requested a loan of 3,000 PHP from GDMPC to purchase swine feed to sell. She has been member of GDMPC for six months. In the future, Lourdes hopes to gain more income and purchase more available products to sell.

Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
