The Chacaritas (Small Farm) Community Bank is made up of four women and two men who are friends and acquaintances. They live in the same community in the outskirts of the town of Cuenca. This is a place where the people work the land by farming and raising animals. Our members work in different activities that allow them to economically support their homes and families.
One of the members of this group is Miss. Elsa. She is 28 years old, single and has a son that is one and a half years old. She lives with her parents. She shares the cost of living expenses with her parents. Her father is a bricklayer and her mother raises animals. They rent their house.
Miss Elsa works with cows and sells the milk that she gets from the cows. She slso works in agrictulture. They grow what they eat in the house and sell the rest.
This is her first loan with the community bank. She is going to use the loan money to buy pigs as she would like to start this new activity.
Her goal is to grow her business.

El banco comunal Chacaritas está formado por 4 mujeres y 2 hombres quienes son amigos y conocidos, viven en la misma comunidad en las afueras de la ciudad de Cuenca, lugares en donde su gente aprovecha la tierra para dedicarse a la agricultura y cría de animales. Nuestras socias laboran en diferentes actividades que les permiten aportar a la economía de sus hogares y sacar adelante a sus familias.

Una de las socias es la Señorita Elsa, tiene 28 años de edad, es soltera y tiene un hijo de un año y cinco meses. Vive en la casa de sus padres con quien comparte los gastos del hogar, su papá labora como albañil y su madre se dedica a la cría de animales, no tienen casa propia por lo que viven arrendando.

La Señorita. Elsa se dedica a la ganadería y comercializa la leche que obtiene de su ganado. También labora en la agricultura la que es para el consumo de la casa y el sobrante lo vende.

Este es su primer crédito que realiza en el banco comunal y lo va a invertir en la compra de cerdos para iniciar en esta actividad.

Su meta es crecer en este negocio.
