From Prey Chor district of Kompong Cham, Mrs. Him is a 41-year-old farmer and mother. She was blessed with two kids; one is a motor repairer in Phnom Penh City while the other one attends the public high school. Her husband, Leng, is 46 and works in the farming business. Mrs. Him inherited farmland from her grandmother and she and her husband grow different kinds of crops on it. The coming rainfall is good for her crop. However, Mrs. Him doesn’t have the capital needed for her farm. Mrs. Him is, therefore, looking for a loan to purchase fertilizers, insecticides and seeds for planting. She will use some of the money to buy a few pigs to raise.
