La Señora María es socia del banco comunal Las Toquilleras, viven por el cantón Sigsig, este cantón es muy visitado por la belleza de sus paisajes y por su naturaleza, la mayoría de su gente se dedica a fabricar sombreros de paja toquilla, también trabajan en la agricultura y cría de animales, son personas muy amables y con una gran hospitalidad.

Doña María tiene 36 años, es casada y ha concebido 3 hijos de 16, 15 y 9 años de edad, sus dos primeros hijos estudian en el colegio y su ultima hija en una escuelita del sector. Su esposo es de profesión chofer y labora conduciendo transporte pesado, con el trabajo conyugal han logrado construir su casa propia.

La Señora. María tiene una tienda de comestible en la que trabaja hace 6 años, su tienda la atiende desde las 6 de la mañana hasta las 10 de la noche. También desde muy niña se dedica a tejer sombreros de paja toquilla.

Este es su segundo crédito que realiza en el banco comunal y lo va a invertir en la compra de arroz, azúcar, huevos, aceite, embutidos, detergentes y otros productos de primera necesidad para surtir más su negocio.

Su meta es agrandar su tienda.
