Raziyya is only 24, but she is already a very experienced young entrepreneur. She is not married, and she lives with her parents. The knowledge acquired from her parents and grandparents has contributed to Raziyya's work raising cattle in a special space in her home. Raziyya's work in animal sales generates a good income for her family. Currently, she has two cows in her house. She would like to increase little by little the variety of her animals and is seeking a loan of 1000 AZN.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
