Zarbayim is 21 years old. She is married and has two children. Since she has lived with her husband, she has worked in the business of buying and selling cattle. Her husband is master and works in construction. She walks through the farms and several settlements to buy cattle at the lowest price to be able to increase her profits. Her monthly profit is about 60 AZN. She currently has two cows and one bull.
Now Zarbayim wants to expand her business. As her children are grown up, she thinks that she will be able to look after more cattle with their help. She is asking for 1000 AZN in order to purchase cattle. Zarbayim expresses her gratitude to everyone supporting her and promises to repay the loan on time.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
