Samir is a 22-year-old single man living with his parents and two siblings. He is from Lebanon. He has owned a shop since 2009, where he sells a wide range of car spare parts. His products are designed for different types of cars. He has one full-time employee helping him with the work. With his business income, he is able to help his father pay the heavy life expenses. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to renew his tools and purchase an air compressor in order to reinforce his business operation and further develop his work. In the future, he is planning to start working as a car mechanic in addition to selling car spare parts.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
