Señora Gloria is the president of the bank. She has 2 children and runs a grocery store, which is going well. With the loan she plans to buy grain, juices, sodas, toilet paper, matches, salt and bread. She is a very hard-working person, always thinking of her children's well-being. She is grateful to the organisation for the support offered.

El Banco de comunal Nuestra Señora De Guadalupe está conformado por 9 Integrantes todas son Mujeres y las señoras se dedican al comercio y venta de pescado y otros, y Señora Gloria es la presidenta del Banco tiene dos hijos y ella se dedica a una pulpería, actividad donde le va muy bien y con el préstamo comprara granos básicos, jugos, refrescos, papel higiénico, fósforos sal y pan. Es una persona muy trabajadora y siempre pensando en el bienestar de sus hijos, esta agradecida con la institución por el apoyo brindado.

This loan is administered by Fundación Leon 2000. Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
