Nuevas Emprendedoras Group's story

The committee “Nuevas Emprendedores” or “New Entrepreneurs” is located in the city of Caaguazú, and is comprised of 22 members. They are now in their fourth loan cycle. They are very organized and hard-working women. The women define themselves as female heads of household who fight to offer their families a different future than they themselves had to go through. They are working towards a common end, where cooperation and solidarity come first. María, the group’s president, sells food products like empanadas, sopa paraguaya, croquetas, and more. Every day she gets up very early to prepare the food she will sell. She says she has a lot of demand since everyone likes her food. She requests the loan to buy meat, ham, cheese, chicken, spices and other necessary ingredients to make her foods.
