History of the client: Virginia is a traveling merchant. She sells perfumes, cosmetics, and decorations in large quantities. She travels to Santa Cruz (one of the largest departments in the country) every two weeks to carry out her work. This is the fifth time that she is requesting a credit with IMPRO. Her history in our institution qualifies her as a "1" client, which means that she has fulfilled her payment obligations very well. The requested amount will go towards the purchase of merchandise (barrettes, decorations, cosmetics, and perfumes).


Her previous loans and work allow her to request this loan, since she has good experience in her business which will let her earn income to cover the loan.

Es la quinta vez que solicita un crédito con IMPRO. Su historial en nuestra institución la califica como cliente 1, es decir con cumplimiento bueno en el pago de su obligación. El monto solicitado será destinado para la compra de mercadería (trabas, adornos, cosméticos y perfumes).


Sus antecedentes crediticios y trabajo le permiten acceder a este crédito ya que tiene experiencia en su negocio, el cual le da ingresos para cubrir el préstamo.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
