Blanca is 47 years old and lives in Machachi in central Ecuador. She is divorced and lives in her own house with her two children. Her daughter is 13 years old and her son is 10 years old. Blanca is a person who fights adversity and her enterprising personality gives her the ability to move forward with her children.
Blanca has a car wash service that was established as a family business. The business washes, vacuums and sprays cars. It also does oil changes, air filters and gas filters. Through this loan, Blanca is going to finance new machinery. She began working in 1994 with only one machine. Later, with her profits, she began growing the business little by little. Now, with the help of a loan from Kiva partner, FODEMI, she is better equipping her business. She is seeking this loan to continue equipping her business, changing old and obsolete machines for more modern ones. Blanca hopes this loan will improve her equipment and that her family will have a larger income. She wants it to improve their quality of life. Blanca’s goals are to continue her family’s business tradition and for her family to have good health.
