Willan Osvaldo, who goes by his middle name, is 29 years old and lives near the city of Ibarra, Ecuador. He is unmarried and has two children aged four years, 5 months and one year, eight months, respectively. Osvaldo is the kind of man who gets along with everybody. Osvaldo and his brother make bricks. They complete the process from start to finish, forming the bricks and baking them in their large brick oven. Osvaldo began his business with a small amount of credit 10 years ago. Since then, he reports that he owes his business, his house, and his life, as he knows it to the opportunity afforded to him by his first loan. He did not have the capital to start the business. Osvaldo has many dreams for the future. He wants to continue making bricks. However, he sees expansion in his future. His goal is to buy land, build houses with his own bricks, and sell his houses.
