Ngoan
A loan of $1,900 helps to purchase new acacia seedlings and fertilizer to replant her land.

Ngoan's story
Ngoan is 52 years old, married, and all of her children are now grown. She belongs to an ethnic minority group and lives with her family in a remote mountainous area of Thanh Hoa province.
Her husband works as a manual laborer, but his income is unstable. For more than 20 years, Ngoan has been engaged in farming and animal husbandry. In addition, she takes on extra work at local farms to supplement the family’s income.
Her family grows acacia trees, which are later sold as timber to factories. Acacia is typically cultivated for 5 to 6 years before harvest, providing both economic benefits and contributing to environmental protection, which makes it a popular crop among local farmers.
After recently harvesting their acacia plantation, Ngoan plans to reinvest by purchasing new acacia seedlings and fertilizer to replant her land. To support this plan, she is applying for her third loan from Thanh Hoa MFI.
Ngoan hopes that with continued investment and hard work, her family’s income will increase in the future, allowing them to improve their living conditions.
