Đức
A loan of $1,900 helps to grow sugarcane trees.

Đức's story
At 62 years old, Đức is a devoted mother of three grown children. She and her husband belong to an ethnic minority and live in the remote mountainous area of Thanh Hoa province.
Despite their age, Đức and her husband continue to work hard every day ─ not only to support themselves, but also to care for their two young grandchildren, whose parents have migrated far from home in search of work. The family’s income comes mainly from growing sugarcane on their small plot of land, as well as from doing hired labor on other farms in the area. Their earnings are modest and only enough to cover daily living expenses.
Their hometown is well known for producing high-quality sugarcane, and many families rely on this crop as their primary source of income. Following this tradition, Đức’s family has been cultivating sugarcane for years. After about one year of careful tending, the crop is harvested and sold to local factories.
She's requesting her seventh loan from Thanh Hoa MFI, to purchase sugarcane seedlings and fertilizers to improve her next crop. This loan will help Đức sustain her family’s livelihood, continue caring for her grandchildren and gradually improve their living conditions.
