Nguyệt's story

Mrs. Nguyệt is 43 years old and currently lives with her family in Vạn Lộc Commune. She has two dependent children; her eldest child is in grade 12 and her younger child is in grade 7. Due to her husband’s poor health, he is only able to do light work, so she is the main breadwinner of the family. Despite many financial difficulties, she continues to work hard to provide stability for her children and ensure they can continue their education.

Mrs. Nguyệt has more than 15 years of experience in the seafood business. Her family is classified as a low-income household in the local community. She is applying for her eleventh loan from Thanh Hóa MFI, a Kiva lending partner, to expand her seafood business by purchasing more crabs to better meet customer demand.

The loans she has received since 2011, have helped her family gradually improve their living conditions and maintain a more stable income, despite ongoing financial challenges.

Her main difficulty is the lack of money to expand her small business. In the future, she hopes her family will remain healthy and happy, that she can earn enough money to support her children’s education, and that she will be able to save some money to prepare for unexpected risks such as illness or unemployment.

Thank you for supporting Mrs. Nguyệt.
