Nhung's story

Mrs. Nhung is 40 years old and currently lives alone in Tiên Trang Commune. She has three dependents, including her eldest child who is in grade 9, her second child who is in grade 6, and her elderly mother who is often ill and unable to earn an income. Despite living separately, she remains the main financial support for her children and her mother. Her family is classified as a low-income household in the local community.

She has more than 10 years of experience running a small grocery business. To maintain and expand her income, she is applying for her eighth loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to invest in additional goods such as snacks, soft drinks, and bottled water to sell in her shop. Her previous loans have helped her gradually improve her family’s living conditions and better support her dependents.

Her main difficulty is that her house is located far from the town center, which limits her business opportunities. In the future, she hopes her family will remain healthy and happy, that she can earn enough money to support her children’s education, and that she will be able to save some money to prepare for unexpected risks such as illness or unemployment.
