José is 42 years old and attended school through ninth grade. He is currently in a relationship and has two children who are dependent on him. He works every day to provide them a better life.
José has been raising and selling pigs for several years. He started this business with the goal of generating income and supporting his family. The pen where he keeps the animals is located at his home, so he doesn’t have to go anywhere to do his work. His workday begins around 6:00 a.m., during which time he cares for and feeds the animals. In addition, he also works in farming, an activity that supplements his income.
