A loan of $550 helps to buy more ingredients to fry chicken.

Sarah's story
Sarah is 36 years old and lives in the town of Kawempe in the Central region of Uganda. She is married and has three children, with two of them currently in school.
For the past four years, Sarah has been working hard to manage her catering of fried chips and chicken.
To help expand her business, Sarah has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more ingredients to fry chicken and chips to sell, and will help Sarah to generate greater profits and improve her family's standard of living by providing them with enough food .
Sarah hopes that in the future she will be able to improve her business more.
She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program, which primarily serves small-group members like her who do not have the collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
