Maria Esperanza's story

María has an eighth grade education. She is currently married and her husband makes a living in agriculture. She has young children who live with her and depend on her care and support. 

María, also known as Esperanza, has made a living from tailoring for approximately 26 years. She learned the trade when she had the opportunity to join a tailoring workshop. Here she acquired the knowledge required to develop this line of work. Since then she has devoted her time, effort and dedication to improve her business day after day. She has successfully overcome a variety of issues over the years. Besides tailoring, she helps her husband with agricultural tasks.

This loan will be used to buy another sewing machine, with the objective of improving her production and continuing to build up her business.

 

María dreams of providing her young children with opportunities, especially to support them in future so that they can obtain a University qualification.
