Jocel's story
Jocel resides in the province of Iloilo. She is 34 years old and has three dependents. She and her husband earn their livelihood through fishing, a trade they have been engaged in for 17 years.
Currently, Jocel is seeking a loan of PHP 50,000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEV (a microfinance NGO in the Philippines). She will use the loan to buy an engine and plywood for their fishing boat.
Jocel aspires to improve their livelihood in the future, with the goal of achieving a better standard of living.
