View original language description ↓
Esperanza F. is a single mother with six kids all of which are in school. Some in elementary school and some in high school. For years ago she began her business selling ice cream. At the Ivan Monte Negro Market in Managua. When she began her business another lady shared her space with Esperanza so that she could sell her ice cream from it. However, as time went by she was able to rent her own space in the market place.

Now she works hard every day to be able to support her family and to give an education to her children. One of Senora Esperanza daughters works with her selling ice cream. This business makes it so Esperanza is able to earn a living with dignity.

For three years now she has received nine small loans and they have benefited her a lot because she has been able to buy more ice cream to sell and she has also been able to save her earnings so that she could remodel her space in the market.
