Hasifah
A loan of $675 helps to purchase more fashionable dresses, tops and bottoms.

Hasifah's story
Hasifah is 33 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the central region of Uganda. She is married and has 2 children.
For the past 7 years, Hasifah has been working hard to manage her boutique, which sells all kinds of adult clothes, like dresses, tops and bottoms, and also handles mobile money transactions. To help expand her business, Hasifah has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more fashionable dresses, tops and bottoms for resale. This will help Hasifah generate greater profits and provide some basic needs and food for her family.
Hasifah hopes that in the future she will be able to become a powerful business woman and own a big shop in town. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program, which primarily serves small-group members like her who do not have the collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
