A loan of $6,925 helps a member to buy more chickens, pigs, and feed to improve their breeding.

Luchadoras Los Cifuentes Group's story
With hard work and dedication, Carolina has turned animal husbandry into the main source of income of her home. She has been breeding pigs and chickens for 6 years, which she sells from her house, generating constant income for her family.
Carolina is 32 years old, has a partner, and an 8 year old daughter who is in 3rd grade at school. Carolina only finished until 2nd grade at school, as her father did not have the financial capacity to pay for her studies, and she also faced health challenges which affected her academic continuity.
Her husband emigrated to the United States 8 years ago, looking for better opportunities. Carolina has been managing her small farm with responsibility and perseverance.
Carolina is requesting this loan to buy more chickens, pigs, and feed to improve their breeding. With this investment, she will improve the performance of her farm, increase her production, and guarantee the financial stability and well being of her daughter.
Seven women make up the Luchadoras Los Cifuentes Group. They will invest in their businesses which are: animal husbandry, and growing beans, potatoes, broad beans, and mixed crops. The group members receive training as part of Friendship Bridge's Microcrédito Plus program, where they learn to save and not be guarantors.
