A loan of $1,000 helps to buy two shelving units and more products like soft drinks, fruit, candy and other basic supplies.

Sandra Yesenia's story
51-year-old Sandra has a degree, is married, and her husband works as a driver. Their children are already grown up and are now independent.
Sandra has earned her living selling basic products for almost five years, a job she took on after inheriting the business from her mother. She serves in the store three times a week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. In addition, at weekend she adds to her income by working as a day labourer.
The loan Sandra is seeking will be used to strengthen her business through purchases such as two shelving units, and adding more products like soft drinks, fruit, candy and other basic supplies. With this investment she is seeking to improve the appearance of her store, expand the range of products for sale, and as result increase sales and earnings.
Sandra's goal is to grow her business and make it a larger, better-stocked store. She hopes to increase income so that she can make the loan repayments without difficulty and thus contribute to the improvement of conditions for her family.
