Thuỷ's story
Thuỷ is 53 years old and lives with her family in Đông Quang Ward. She currently cares for two school-aged grandchildren while their parents work far from home due to financial difficulties. Her husband works as a driver, and she takes primary responsibility for raising and supporting the children.
She has more than five years of experience in small trading. Her household is classified as low-income in the local area. In addition to caring for her grandchildren, she operates a small shop to generate income. She is applying for her third loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to expand her business by purchasing goods such as snacks, candy, instant noodles, milk, and cooking oil. Previous loans have helped improve her family’s living conditions.
Her main difficulty is that many customers purchase goods on credit, which affects her cash flow. In the future, she hopes her children will secure stable employment and improve their livelihoods, and that her products can be sold at better prices to strengthen the family’s income.
