Diamaguene Nioro Group's story

Created in 2013, this women's group is made up of 16 members who live in the same area: they enjoy excellent relations and strong group solidarity.

Their main business is trade.

The representative, Madam Goume, is 58 years old, a widow and mother of five children (two daughters): she is very dynamic and has been a member of the group since its creation (she is standing in the photo, with her hand raised).

She has been selling local products for more than five years and has a great deal of experience in her field.

With her loan, she will buy 500 kg of corn, 500 kg of millet and 300 kg of peanuts at the weekly markets in her area, which she then transforms into local products to sell in her neighbourhood and surrounding areas.

She uses the profits from her business to feed her children.

In this group: Fady, Séo, Aida, Néné, Awa, Fatou, Anta, Seynabou, Fatoumata, Oumou Kalsoum, Goume, Aida, Thilor, Oumou, Aissatou
