Comfort's story

Comfort, 43, a vibrant single woman with 2 children, has overcome many obstacles in life. She attended school up to high school and became a successful businesswoman, running a thriving slipper and shoe sales business. She learned the trade from her mother. For the past 11 years, she’s managed her sales seamlessly, transporting her supplies with ease using either a car or a kehkeh.

She works tirelessly 6 days a week, from Monday through Saturday, building strong relationships with her loyal customers. With her sights set on expanding her business, she has applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner. This support will allow her to purchase more slippers and shoes to sell, bringing her one step closer to realizing her aspitation of growth.
