Nanuli comes from the village of Ruisi, Kareli District. She is 56 years old and lives with her 34 year-old son. Her son works as a watchman in the local school.
Nanuli and her son are involved in farming. They own a 3-hectare plot of land where cabbage, tomatoes, beets, onions, and garlic are grown. Nanuli sells the harvested vegetables locally to vegetable retailers. Also, the family has a milk cow. Nanuli produces cheese and sells it locally.
She requested a loan for purchasing tomato seedlings, as well as fertilizers. Also, part of the loan will be used as payment for workers who will help the family with planting the seedlings, as well as fertilizing the land.
Nanuli plans to use part of the income for her son’s wedding arrangements this fall. Another part of the income will be reinvested in the business.
