Verina's story
Verina is a 74-year-old widowed woman with five children living in western parts of Uganda. She is a repeat borrower with a very good credit history and cooperates very well with the family members. Her major source of income is banana plantation faming, which she has practiced for over thirty years. Currently, she is facing a challenge of poor banana yielding, low sales and production which has forced her to request for financial assistance to help her banana plantation improve on its productivity.
