James' story
James is 33 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda, which is in the Kiyinda region of Uganda. He is married and has four children who are currently in school. For the past four years, James has been working hard at managing his stationery shop where he sells books, paper, pens, and other goods.
To help expand his business, James requested a loan of 4,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda to buy more stationery goods to sell at his shop. This will help James generate greater profits, improve his family's well-being, and restock his business. In the future, he hopes to expand his business.
James is a member of the small enterprise program, which primarily serves small-business members like him who have little collateral, but their businesses that have grown and qualify for small loans.
