Kiran's story

Kiran is a hardworking woman of 39 years and mother of 2 children, who supports her family by running a grocery shop. In the beginning, she faced financial difficulties as she did not have enough resources to buy grocery items and manage her household needs.

With the help of a microfinance loan from CEIP, Kiran will buy sugar, flour, and other grocery items to improve her grocery setup, which will allow her to improve her daily sales. As a result, her income will increase, and she will be able to manage household expenses and support her children’s education.

One day, Kiran will be empowered and independent and that will prove how microfinance can transform the lives of women by giving them the means to grow their small businesses, and secure a better future for their families.
