Mukhtar
A loan of $375 helps to buy threads and tailoring materials for her stitching business.

Mukhtar's story
Mukhtar, a 52-year-old parent of two, runs a home-based stitching business to support the family. Despite having strong sewing skills, limited financial resources once made it difficult to purchase quality fabrics and upgrade equipment, which restricted business growth. With the support of a CEIP microfinance loan, Mukhtar expanded the stock of materials and improved the workspace. This made it possible to increase production, attract more customers, and enhance the quality of work.
As income has grown, household expenses are managed more comfortably, and better educational support is provided to the children. Mukhtar’s journey highlights how access to financial services can strengthen small businesses and create long-term family stability.
