Kadija
A loan of $575 helps to buy more clothes for sale.

Kadija's story
Kadija is 36 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the Kiyinda region of Uganda. She is married and has 5 children with 4 of them currently in school.
For the past 3 years, Kadija has been working hard to manage her boutique, which sells clothes. To help expand her business, Kadija has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more clothes for sale, and will help Kadija to generate greater profits and improve her family's standards of living.
Kadija hopes that in the future she will be able to construct rental units. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program, which primarily serves small-group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
