Señora Angela is 34 years old. She lives in a common-law marriage with her husband and they have three children. Lizbeth Natali is 12 years old and Anete is 10 years old. They are in primary school. Erick is 5 years old and is in preschool. She sells Fraiche brand women’s and men’s perfumes through a catalog.
She requested her loan to buy women’s and men’s perfumes and a part of it will also go to feeding her children. She began her business two years ago. Her aunt invited her to do sales and with a loan she received from Kiva and Fundación Realidad she invested in perfumes. She sells her products in Jantetelco and Amayuca. Her business is important because that is how she provides for her children’s school needs. She feels proud of her business because she goes out to sell perfume in her free time and she can care for her children.
She will use the profits to do whatever it takes to feed her children. She is happy with the loan she is going to receive because she will use it to invest in perfumes and will have various fragrances to offer to her customers. Her hopes and dreams are to add on to her house, building more rooms so that her children are more comfortable, and that her children get ahead in their studies.

The people are friendly and it is tranquil with fields of corn, sweet potato, peanuts and sorghum.
This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
