Mujeres Valerosas Group's story

Rosalba is an enterprising mother of four children and a member of the Mujeres Valerosas loan group. Currently, she works as a street vendor of candies, an activity she began with the goal of working for herself and generating income to sustain her family.

Thanks to joining the loan group, she was able to invest in a larger variety and quantity of merchandise, which allowed her to increase her sales and improve her household finances. Day after day, she makes rounds to different places in her community to offer her products, demonstrating strength and commitment to getting ahead.

Rosalba dreams of establishing a small business in her own house, where she can sell in a more stable and secure way, without depending on the weather conditions to get income. With the current loan, she plans to invest in high-demand products such as coffee and milk caramels, lollipops, alfajores and other candies with a high turnover. This investment will allow her to expand her stock, attract more customers, and strengthen her earnings.

The group she belongs to is formed by enterprising women who work selling jewelry, accessories and cleaning products in addition to working as artisans, pastry makers, and in sewing, mutually supporting each other to grow and improve their quality of life.
