Malvarrosas Group
A loan of $2,275 helps a member to prepare and sell food.

Malvarrosas Group's story
The group called "Malvarrosas" is made up of enterprising, responsible women who are committed to improving the quality of life for their families. They live in working class neighborhoods where the living conditions are average.
Such is the case with Gabriela. She is 42 years old, married, and the mother of two children. Six years ago she began selling snacks such as garnachas [small fried masa discs with toppings], tostadas, empanadas, pozol [a fermented corn beverage], and soft tacos. This enterprise enables her to generate the income to help cover household expenses.
She will use the loan to buy everything needed to prepare the foods she sells. Gabriela hopes to be able to grow her business and generate more income.
The rest of the group consists of Candelaria, Glendy, Elizabeth, Diana and Susana, women who strive alongside their families to get ahead.
In this group: Candelaria, Maria Glendy, Maria Elizabeth , Gabriela Noemi , Diana Verenice, Maria Susana
