Rita's story

Rita, a 36-year-old businesswoman, has built a successful slipper business over the past 20 years. She learned the trade from her mother and has managed her business smoothly without any major issues. She sells six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, using either a car or a kehkeh to transport her supplies to her business site. She lives with her partner.

Recently, Rita applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner, to help her expand her inventory and meet the growing demand from her loyal customers. The loan will allow her to purchase more slippers to sell and offer a wider selection to her clientele. Rita dream is to grow her business even further, providing a better future for her family. She is deeply grateful for the financial support from the funders, which will play a key role in turning her dreams into reality.
