A loan of $775 helps to purchase more gari, sugar, pepper, sardines, tomatoes, onions and other food items to sell.

Leemu's story
Leemu is a 45-year-old married woman who has spent her life working hard to provide for her family. Although she never had the opportunity to attend school, she takes great pride in seeing her four children currently attending school while living at home. For the past 10 years, Leemu has owned and operated a small business selling gari (cassava flour), sugar, pepper, sardines, tomatoes, onions and other food items, which she started using her own savings. She runs her business with dedication and passion from Monday through Saturday. Recently, she applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia to purchase more gari, sugar, pepper, sardines, tomatoes, onions and other food items to sell to improve her business. Her dream is to expand her business, and she is deeply grateful for the financial support that will help her grow.
