María Juana
A loan of $1,050 helps to buy vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, chayotes, among other products.

María Juana's story
San Juan Comalapa is a beautiful place with a cool climate and people who dedicate themselves to agriculture and traditional weaving.
María, a 53-year-old married woman and mother, lives there. She is a woman who strives to improve her living conditions every day.
This lovely lady lovingly crafts beautiful huipiles for the women who order them. In addition to this, she also sells fresh vegetables from her town. She feels fortunate and blessed because this is the only way she is able to earn her own income to share with her family.
One of María's plans is to increase her vegetable sales. To do this, she needs to invest, so she is seeking a loan through the Asociación to purchase vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, chayote, and other produce. Thank you, KIVA, for considering the needs of the most vulnerable women in the country.
