Bendu's story

Bendu a 40-year-old, married businesswoman. She is a determined entrepreneur in Liberia. For the past 10 years, she has successfully operated a business where she sells different kinds of butter, red oil, soap, sugar, salt, pepper, milk, vita (boullion), charcoal and other items. She started the business with some financial help from her mother. Committed and hardworking, Bendu runs her business from Monday to Saturday, serving her community with her goods.

She has now applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia to buy more butter, red oil, soap, sugar, salt, pepper, milk, vita, charcoal and other items to sell and to meet growing demand. Her goal is to increase her business. Bendu is grateful for the financial support which she believes will significantly strengthen and grow her business.
