Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story
The Mujeres Emprendedoras communal bank forms part of the Mujeres Emprendedoras programme developed by Fundacion Paraguaya.
It was created thanks to the initiative of women who invited their friends and neighbours to become part of the group. Their goal is to improve their quality of life and that of their families through a concerted effort, cooperation and access to financial opportunities.
One of the members is Leticia Maria Celeste, president of the group, who makes a living selling food together with her mother. She sells traditional items such as soup, traditional savoury cornmeal cake, and desserts. Leticia manages to keep her business running and make an income for her home.
