Rukhshona's story

Rukhshona is from the historic city of Panjakent in northern Tajikistan. Born in 1996, she is a young and devoted mother of three children. Her husband works abroad as a labor migrant, doing his best to support the family from far away. While he is gone, Rukhshona carries the responsibility of caring for their children and manages the household with strength and patience.

For the past five years, she has been raising livestock. She learned this work from her mother, who taught her how to care for animals with dedication and knowledge. What began as a family tradition has become an important source of income for her household. Every day, she works hard to feed and protect her cattle, understanding that their well-being directly supports her children’s future.

Now Rukhshona hopes to buy a pair of young bulls to increase her livestock and strengthen her small farm. By expanding her herd, she will be able to improve her family’s financial stability and create better opportunities for her children. She believes in hard work, in family values, and in the power of opportunity to build a brighter tomorrow.
