Getsemaní Las Piedras Group

Osmar is thirty-nine years old. He is single and is a very sociable, responsible, and hardworking person. He is known in his community for many years as a farmer. He sows basic grains, corn, and beans. He learned this work from a young age in the company of his brothers and his father. He was the person who, little by little, taught him the trade and shared his work experience. He has been farming basic grains for over nineteen years. He also works as a day labourer on farms further away, to cover the family costs. 

He is currently applying for a Fundenuse loan with Kiva funding to buy glyphosate, gramoxone, fertilizer, soil amendments, cypermethrin, etc. 

Thanks to this support, he will be able to maintain his crops and improve his productivity, allowing him to take one step further towards his goals. 

Osmar dreams that with his work efforts, in the future he can have his own farm lands which will allow him to decrease his costs and increase his income. This way, he can improve his quality of life. 

He forms part of the Getsemani Las Piedras group along with Roland and Pedro. Both share the same passion for farming work and wish to continue working in these new cycles.
