Magdalene is a 29-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband in Garu district in Ghana.
With her previous Kiva loan, she purchased garlic for retail. She used the profit she earned to reinvest in the business.

She will repay the 'social interest' on her second loan by volunteering two-and-a-half hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide, facilitating classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build their self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.
