Nasreen's story

Nasreen, a 32-year-old mother of two, has been supporting her family through a home-based sewing business.

Limited financial resources made it difficult for her to purchase quality fabrics and essential tools, slowing the growth of her business. But with the support of a CEIP microfinance loan, Nasreen is now able to invest in better materials and equipment, allowing her to take on more orders and enhance the quality of her work.

As her income increases, she is gaining greater control over household expenses and is better able to support her children’s education. Nasreen’s journey illustrates how microfinance can empower women, improve livelihoods and create opportunities for sustainable family development.
