Saldivar Poty Group
In this Group: Maria, Justina, Rosalina, Eustacia, Dominga, Andresa, Marcelina, Cornelia, Luz , Irma, Francisca, Shriley, Ursulina, Nancy, Blasida, Maria, Rosa
The Saldivar Poty group was formed thanks to current general director Maria, who makes a living making and selling cleaning supplies. She contacted an adviser at a weekly meeting in the area about working with the Women's Entrepreneur Committee. Once she learned more about the program she was able to bring together 17 women who are now passionately working jointly and with solidarity on their 13th loan cycle with the program. They consider themselves to be enterprising women who fight to provide their families with a dignified and decent life. Maria has made a living making cleaning supplies for a number of years. She is in charge of the production and then later sells the products. She has a small sales post that she would like to expand some day. She is requesting the loan to purchase materials like soaps, scents, colorings and other items to make her cleaning products.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
